Melinda Myrow studied at Layton School of Art and Design, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Governors State University, University Park, Illinois.  Many of her early works were exhibited in the Chicago area, including juried shows at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Illinois Regional Print Show at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.  In recent years, Myrow has been in numerous juried exhibitions, which include two solo shows at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and Open Studios, Boulder, Foothills Art Center - Colorado Open, Golden, Colorado, Found Objects Colorado, Christine Marguerite Designs, Celebrate Colorado Artists, Denver and Denver Museum of Contemporary Art Annual Gala.

  • Melinda was honored to have 3 paintings selected for A History of Visual Arts in Boulder (HOVAB.) This was a huge county-wide, historical art show.
  • Melinda's painting, "Awww..." was selected for the 2013 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia exhibition, Foothills Art Center, Golden, Colorado.
  • In 2012, Melinda was commissioned to create an original painting for the Intel SciArt project. The art can be seen at sciart.intel.com
  • Myrow's awards include:
    • 2005 Colorado Art Open, Foothills Art Center, Golden Colorado
    • Art in Public Places, Colorado Council on the Arts for "Nestled Betwixt", a pastel drawing which now resides at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver
    • Purchase Award, Print and Drawing Show, for "Village Idiot and 'Come Along, Dickie'", an intaglio print, at the Artists' Guild of Chicago
  • Myrow co-founded LOBE ART, Inc. where she designed and manufactured jewelry silkscreened with 16 colors.  LOBE ART has been marketed in galleries and stores across the U.S., including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the Dallas Art Museum, and at the 100 American Craftsmen Show, Kenan Center, Lockport, NY
  • Myrow served on the Art Advisory Committee for the Visual Communication Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)
  • Myrow has mentored several high school and university art students.
  • Myrow was represented at exhibitrek THE GALLERY, Boulder, CO
  • Published art includes greeting cards and music and book cover illustration
  • Myrow has donated art pro-bono to numerous charities including artma (Denver,) Boulder County Aids Project (BCAP) and the Boulder County Safehouse
  • Myrow's work is collected throughout the U.S. and Europe.
